In La Jolla, nose surgery (rhinoplasty) techniques can differ from one plastic surgeon to another. With that said, most perform the facial rejuvenating procedure in the following manner:
- Incisions are either made on the inside of your nostril (closed rhinoplasty) or on the outside, under the nose (open rhinoplasty)
- Dr. Chaffoo then removes or rearranges bone and cartilage to mold your nose to its desired size and shape
- Incisions are closed, and
- A temporary splint is applied to protect your nose
